Modern Phone Systems

What to expect from a modern phone system? Connectivity! That is right. A modern phone system allows you to stay connected wherever you are.

A contemporary system allows you to pick up and make calls in a several ways. Let’s start with the traditional way, over a desk phone, equipped with a touch screen and camera allows to make video and audio calls, install third party application such as MS Team and Zoom. A built in Wi-Fi allows to stay connected within Wi-Fi networks and work in places not considered as designed for work before. But what if you have left your phone in the office? There a two more options. The first one is to use a web phone, which is your phone accessible over a browser. The second option is a mobile app. A dedicated application on your smartphone which let you stay connected while you travel. Such an app. uses a data plan if you are not in range of any Wi-Fi networks.

The next thing worth to consider is the PBX. Times, when companies had to spend a little fortune for a sophisticated but complicated phone system are gone for good. Still, many of them keep their PBX on the premises believes that it would provide a better sound quality and security. But it is hard to provide the same level of a working environment and security as the service providers do. A modern phone system relies on a good quality and reliable Internet connection. If possible, go with a fiber optic one, you will not be disappointed. If there is no fiber option for you, try to acquire a dedicated line for the phone system alone.

The last features worth to mention is simplicity and flexibility. How easy the phone system is to set up, manage, maintenance, add, suspend or remove users? What about a voicemail? Is it possible to receive a sound file or/and a transcript directly to your email? Yes, it is!

Last but not least, a modern phone system should be a rock solid, a downtime is not an option anymore. It must run flawlessly and provides excellent sound quality. Finally, it should be tailored for your specific business needs and simply work for you in a way you would like to see it.
